Picture Overload!!!

Wow what a busy month! Rory finished his first semester at BYU and I stopped babysitting the two little girls. Our 2nd anniversary was on December 21. Rory planned a fun filled day up in Salt Lake. We drove up to Sandy and rode the Trax line in to Temple Square and walked around the visitors center. We watched The Testaments (Rory hadn't ever seen it) I missed the last and best part of the movie because Shaylee blew out of her diaper twice and went through all of the clothes we had. After the movie we went and walked around the Church History and Art Museum. They have a little children's play area on the 3rd floor with a little play nursery and Shaylee had a great time playing with the baby dolls. We went to McGraths Fishhouse for dinner, it was amazing!!! It was a great date, we had so much fun and Shaylee loved the train!

Shaylee turned one on December 24, we had her birthday party over at Grandma Brenda's house. All of my family and Zach and Leanns family were there. It was really cute to watch her try and decide what to do with the presents after we had been telling her no for so long and then hand them to her and help her rip them. She didn't quite know what to think.

This little white chair was Rorys chair when he was little, she loved that she fit in it and could get in it herself.

Shaylees birthday cakes were Christmas ornaments, not really original I know but what can you do when your traveling?

We put Shaylee in her chair with a piece of cake and just let her go to town. She thought it was the best thing ever. Watch the video below and you can hear her satisfaction with the first bite. It is pretty darn cute. She loved the ice cream too.

We spent Christmas with my family this year, Shaylee got most of the haul and didn't care one bit. She was tired and just wasn't into playing with the paper.
Shaylee got to play in the snow for the first time. She was wearing boots that were 4 sizes to big but she did really well walking around. She thought that she could lean on it but of course every time she did she would fall through the snow bank. More than one time we pulled her out when she was bent over with her head in the snow. Rory pulled her around on a sled and she just had the time of her life!
Since then Rory and I bought a Chevy Trailblazer, the Buick just wasn't cutting it anymore so we traded it. We love that it has 4 wheel drive with all of this snow. We also both went back to school. I started going to Ameritech College and am training to be a dental assistant. So far I love it! Hope that all is going well with all of you and your families and that you had a great Christmas break!!!
