Camping!

We headed down to Minersville on Friday after Rory got done with work. We headed up the mountain Saturday morning to spend 3 1/2 wonderfully smelly days camping at Anderson Meadow. Mason came up with us and got to stay until Sunday night and then he went on a backpacking trip. Myles came up after work on Saturday and stayed until Monday night. My mom and dad came up during the day and went back home at night. As soon as we had the camp set up Rory and my two younger brothers Myles and Mason had to go try fishing. Shaylee and I didn't last very long after she stepped in the water.

Rory was the only one who caught a fish and so he of course had the honor of gutting it and eating it.

This is Shaylee just chillin by the fire the next morning. She did really well to just sit with her blanket, I think mostly she just didn't want to get cold.

We had put sunscreen on the part in her hair the day before and so I tried to pull her hair straight back so wwe wouldn't have to grease up her hair too bad. She looks like she is up to something in this picture.

The next day we headed down to Tushar and used the canoes that they left there. We didn't stay out very long but Shaylee did have fun. We had her go out with her Uncles so we could take pictures. She is so cute!

About the middle of the day we decided that she was dirty enough that it would be worth it to give her a bath. She had all that sunscreen on her head and dirt was just sticking to her scalp so we warmed up some water and scrubbed her down she did ok in the beginning but the water wasn't as warm as she was used to and she quickly decided that she wasn't ok with it anymore. The picture where she has her face all scrunched up looks just like the picture we took of her very first bath only now she has teeth.

Rory and Myles got up early to go fishing again and they did really well. Rory caught 4 and kept 3 and Myles caught 5 and kept 4. Obviously they had quite a few to gut and I caught a few good faces as they were doing the dirty deed. Rory kept complaining about little bugs flying around his ears but I think he was just paranoid because he couldn't touch anything.

Shaylee just enjoyed watching her dad freak out.

Just hanging out waiting for bedtime!

When we got back and all had bathed we got to play for a little bit at Grandma's house and Shaylee got to play with a baby rabbit. (Or boonwhelo as Grandpa likes to call them.) We tried really hard to get her to give it a kiss and we were lucky enough to catch it on camera. She even got to hold it for a minute.
